Meet Dr. Anastasia Orakwue, DDS
Dr. Anastasia Orakwue is not just a skilled dentist; she’s a compassionate healthcare provider who values the happiness and health of each patient. Born and raised in the suburb of Sugarland, Texas, Dr. Orakwue completed her undergraduate studies at Wayland Baptist University. Here, she shone both academically and athletically, earning a spot on the historic Flying Queens Women’s Basketball team and graduating with a degree in biology.
Her educational journey continued with a Master’s in Health Science from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Post-graduation, Dr. Orakwue completed a post-graduate general practice residency and spent several years practicing in east Texas before moving to Dallas.
A Passion For Patient Care
Dr. Orakwue believes that a commitment to patient smiles involves a lifelong dedication to learning and education. Consequently, this belief is evident in her continuous pursuit of career advancement through courses on therapeutic communication and evidence-based approaches to emergency, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Her goal is always to ensure her patients have a pleasant and informed dental experience.
When she’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Orakwue enjoys giving back to the community. She volunteers for dental outreach through organizations like Hope Smiles, Remote Area Medical, and Texas Mission of Mercy. Her hobbies include cooking, crafting, basketball, and tennis. Dr. Orakwue loves spending time with her husband, Stanley, and their four children, exploring new activities and discovering the city.
